Dormitory Building On-Site Superintendent

Daugavpils Tehnoloģiju un tūrisma tehnikums invites applications for a permanent position: DORMITORY BUILDING ON-SITE SUPERINTENDENT (profession code 9629 05) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Perform on-site duties at the dormitory according to an approved schedule, ensuring order and security. Monitor the maintenance of premises, inventory, and material assets, as well as compliance with internal regulations and fire safety requirements. 2. Conduct inspections of premises and territory, recording identified deficiencies in the duty log. Ensure access control, key circulation, and resident accounting. 3. Collaborate with dormitory teachers and institutional specialists on matters related to student conduct and safety. 4. Take prompt action in emergency situations when necessary and contact relevant emergency services. 5. The superintendent's work schedule is organized with consideration for summed working hours. The schedule may change based on institutional operational needs, including the absence of other superintendents (illness, vacation, etc.). REQUIREMENTS: • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to act independently and make decisions in non-standard situations; • Previous work experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage; • Understanding of workplace safety, fire safety, and first aid regulations; • Physical fitness; • State language proficiency at basic level (A1 level); • Ability to independently use email and digital signatures, as communication and document circulation in the institution are conducted electronically; • Candidates must not be subject to restrictions provided for in Article 72 of the Law on the Rights of the Child; • Mandatory health examination must be completed before starting work.
