We are a dedicated group that enjoys working together and values a good work climate where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collegial support are a natural part of our daily work. With us, you get stimulating work with the opportunity to contribute to the development of our operations. We work at two units focused on social psychiatry. Each unit has 14 social workers, two senior social workers, and a unit manager. Unit 2 also has a social administrator. In September, we are moving from Dunfins Gata 20–22 to Lisa Sass Gata 1. Work Tasks As a social worker, you handle applications for assistance according to SoL and requests for services according to LSS for adults. You investigate according to Individual's Needs in Focus (IBIC), document, and use clear language. You work with people with mental and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities, with or without concurrent substance use disorders. The work combines theoretical knowledge with professional conduct. You meet people in acute and long-term situations, sometimes with a need for alternative ways of communicating. As a social worker in social psychiatry, you work with people in complex life situations where mental health issues often interact with social challenges. The assignment includes long-term support services for a sustainable and independent everyday life as well as acute interventions when the situation changes. You work with daily living support, housing matters, and interventions for homelessness, and strengthen the individual's own resources and participation. The work is characterized by variation and requires structure and flexibility. One day you follow up on long-term planning with the individual and cooperation partners; the next day you handle acute situations where quick assessments and decisions are needed. With colleagues and external actors, you work to ensure that each individual receives the right support based on their needs. The assignment includes cooperation with the individual's network, for example family members, appointed guardians, and administrators. You collaborate with housing facilities, housing support services, home care, social services, healthcare, and other authorities. Travel may occur for follow-ups outside of Gothenburg. The work involves ethical considerations and assessment of when additional expertise needs to be involved. Interpreters are used when needed. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, social care, or another higher education degree that the employer deems equivalent. You must also have completed studies in social law. Since the position involves administrative work and issuing documents such as official statements, you need to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Experience working with people with mental/neuropsychiatric disabilities with or without concurrent substance use disorders is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have worked as a social worker and have a B driver's license. We are looking for someone who appreciates a varied work day. You have the ability to quickly adjust when new needs arise without losing focus on long-term processes. You are structured, flexible, and confident in prioritizing between multiple ongoing cases simultaneously. For you, change is a natural part of work and you see opportunities where others see challenges. We look forward to your application!
