Tasks/Assignment As an environmental inspector, you will primarily work with supervisory tasks within the scope of the Environmental Code. Your work tasks involve planning, conducting, and following up on inspections as well as handling application and notification cases. The work involves considerable contact with both businesses and private individuals. Since our operations cover many different areas, you will work broadly within several areas. We distribute work tasks in groups with several areas within each group. There are opportunities for development and deepening within different subject areas, and we try to distribute tasks based on employees' different interests and competencies. The organization requires flexibility, which means that work tasks may change over time. The work is varied and involves both independent responsibility and close collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders. As an environmental inspector, you will conduct supervisory visits, handle supervisory matters, and incoming permit applications. Part of the work will also consist of providing advice to relevant parties. Participation in quality work is also included in the position, such as developing and refining supervisory methodology and working methods, creating information materials, routines, templates, etc. Supervisory areas and work tasks will be included based on the needs of the operations and/or resource allocation. As an environmental inspector, you perform supervision according to the Environmental Code and other relevant legislation with the purpose of creating a sustainable society. Your assignment includes setting requirements and making decisions in your role as a public authority representative. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from education in environmental and health protection inspector or work experience that the employer considers equivalent. It is meritorious to have experience and competence in supervising agriculture, environmentally hazardous activities, health protection, sewage systems, and contaminated land. You as an applicant: have the ability to handle and coordinate many work tasks simultaneously are thorough, take great personal responsibility, and have good ability to plan your work are clear in your communication and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish have good collaboration skills and are service-oriented are an experienced computer user and master the Office package well have a B-driver's license. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Other meritorious qualities include: Experience with the case management system Castor. Experience with Lex. Knowledge regarding sewage systems and health protection. Knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs. Knowledge of the Municipal Act, environmental law, and administrative law.
