We are now strengthening our team in Uppsala and are seeking a facilities technician with an interest in technology, service, and development. As a facilities technician with us, you play an important role in creating stable and well-functioning operations in our properties in Uppsala. You work closely with our tenants, where Uppsala University is our largest customer, in an environment ranging from educational spaces to more technically advanced research environments. In your daily work, you handle both practical tasks and ongoing customer communication. You are responsible for managing fault reports, following up on actions, and ensuring that the premises function as they should with high quality and service. Through a solution-oriented approach and your technical expertise, you contribute to secure operations and a positive experience for our customers. You become part of a team with 5 other facilities technicians, where you together are responsible for the properties. You work from our office in Uppsala and report to the Head of Operations. In this role, you also work closely with technical administrators, operations engineers, and other functions within our organization. Responsibilities
Maintain ongoing contact with tenants regarding operations, issues, and premises functionality
Perform inspections, maintenance, and corrective measures
Handle fault reports and ensure clear and professional feedback
Troubleshoot and repair technical systems such as heating, ventilation, electrical, and control systems
Collaborate with colleagues and support functions and escalate more complex matters as needed
Participate in planning maintenance activities and improvement initiatives
Take part in emergency response work according to the organization's procedures
Qualifications
You are a person who enjoys taking responsibility and creating structure in your work. You have a service-oriented approach and are driven by finding solutions, both independently and together with others. Your ability to build relationships and collaborate with different parties is important, as is your commitment to contributing to stable operations and a positive experience for our customers.
Experience in facilities management and a solid interest in technology
Technical or facilities-oriented education, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Electrical (power and lighting)
Ventilation
Plumbing and heating
Control and regulation technology
Energy and climate issues
Good IT skills and experience with digital tools
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Valid driver's license (Category B)
Background checks will be conducted on final candidates
It is a merit if you also have:
Specialist knowledge in areas such as control systems, ventilation, or energy optimization
Experience with complex facility environments, such as laboratory operations
Experience with Faciliate or similar systems
