Your Role
As an operations technician, you contribute to ensuring high operational reliability in our facilities. You work with both planned and corrective maintenance and play a central role in keeping our processes efficient and safe. The work is varied and involves taking responsibility for your own assignments while collaborating with colleagues on larger projects. You have great opportunity to plan and structure your workdays yourself, in close dialogue with your team leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities
Responsible for daily operation of production facilities and proactively work to minimize operational disruptions
Analyze trend data and history in SCADA systems
Participate in on-call duties according to schedule
Conduct rounds of external facilities
Work according to the work order process, including fault reporting, planning, and risk assessment
Contribute to development, follow-up, and structure within your area of responsibility
We are seeking two people for similar roles with placement at:
Kungsängsverket in Västerås
Hallstahammar/Surahammar

On-call duty is part of the position and operates on a six-week rotation where you, among other things, conduct rounds and analyze our facilities.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone with upper secondary education and experience in maintenance and mechanical work, preferably within the water and wastewater sector or similar industry. You have a strong interest and commitment to the water and wastewater field and want to contribute to safe and efficient operations.
To succeed in this role, you need to be organized, responsible, and unpretentious, with the ability to step in where needed. You thrive with taking personal responsibility, are driven by problem-solving, and can analyze operational data. You have good teamwork abilities and enjoy working in a team. We appreciate that you prioritize safety highly, work goal-oriented, and follow applicable laws and safety regulations.

Requirements for the position are Swedish in speech and writing, good computer skills, and a B driver's license.

About Us, Your Colleagues
Mälarenergi Vatten AB is a subsidiary within the Mälarenergi group responsible for production and distribution of drinking water as well as wastewater management in Västerås, Hallstahammar, and Surahammar municipalities. We carry out operation, planning, and development of facilities and networks, development, and project implementation in the three municipalities.
You will join the wastewater treatment unit and be part of the operations team based at Kungsängsverket in Västerås, which is the largest facility but also collaborates extensively with other parts of the business. The other position is based in Hallstahammar/Surahammar.
The operations team's main task is to plan and perform mechanical maintenance on facilities and ensure operational safety.
