About the Operations Region Västernorrland's Region Properties operates as a revenue-financed operational unit. Region Properties' mission is to create, adapt, and manage a well-composed portfolio of fit-for-purpose facilities based on customer needs and responsible property ownership. As a landlord, we are responsible for facility supply, management, and maintenance of the region's properties. For leasing in and out of premises, we are responsible for rent administration. For new construction, renovations, and extensions, we handle procurement, project management, and oversight. The total area managed is approximately 500,000 m² of usable floor space. Furthermore, Region Properties is responsible for strategic and long-term property matters such as energy efficiency improvements, investment planning, as well as the purchase and sale of properties. We are now seeking a maintenance technician with a focus on HVAC to Region Properties in Örnsköldsvik for a permanent position with start date November 1, 2026 or by agreement. You will be part of a team of 7 maintenance technicians, a technical manager, and a unit manager. Responsibilities Your main responsibilities as a maintenance technician will be the operation and maintenance of our properties. This means you will work with operation and maintenance within the areas of HVAC, medical gas, central gas system inspection and maintenance, ventilation, control and regulation, electrical systems, cooling, fire alarm systems, and more. Examples of responsibility tasks included in the role are: - Perform inspections and maintenance measures related to facility operation and maintenance needs. - Receive fault reports and assess the measures needed. - Plan preventive measures. - Participate in regulatory inspections and be responsible for ensuring that any necessary measures are performed so that regulatory requirements for the properties are met. - Computer/tablet and phone are a natural part of your daily work as we apply electronic invoice management, work orders, reporting systems, and more. - Participation in projects, facility modifications, and energy optimization. In addition to work at the base location Örnsköldsvik, you may also perform work on the Region's external properties. The position includes on-call duty. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: - Has relevant education in HVAC, Maintenance Technician, or work experience that we consider equivalent - Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing - Has documented experience in property technical maintenance work and good knowledge of property technical matters - Has good computer skills - Has a valid driver's license (category B) It is an advantage if you: - Have education or other professional experience in HVAC and medical gas - Have received training in fire alarm and sprinkler system operation - Have completed Hot Work training - Have previously worked with HVAC maintenance and installation - Have previously worked in service/maintenance To succeed in the role, we believe you have these personal qualities: - Collaboration skills - Goal- and results-oriented - Relationship-building - Clear communicator Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, we at Region Västernorrland are responsible for several of the operations that are most important for residents' ability to participate in society.
