About us The Facilities Department, which is part of the Office for Community Development, is responsible for managing, constructing, and developing the municipality's operational facilities such as preschools, schools, care facilities, residences, as well as facilities and installations for sports and culture. The department is led by the Facilities Manager who oversees three units: the Project and Facilities Development Unit, the Management Unit, and the Operations Unit. The Project and Facilities Development Unit consists of project managers, project coordinators, and energy, climate, and environmental coordinators. The Management Unit consists of facility managers, space planners, and facilities administrators. The Operations Unit consists of operations technicians, custodians, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, fire alarm system operators, coordinators, and a green spaces manager. We are responsible for maintaining the facility in good condition, ensuring that technical systems function properly, managing safety, energy, and environment, and coordinating external services and suppliers. Efficient operations also require good communication with tenants and other units, as well as continuous focus on economy and sustainability. Together we are approximately 20 people with various expertise in facilities management: energy, control and monitoring, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, ventilation, heating, locks/alarms, fire safety, green spaces, carpentry, and playgrounds. About the position You are responsible for the operation, supervision, and optimization of the facility's technical systems with a focus on energy-efficient and reliable operations. The work includes monitoring, analyzing, and improving systems for heating, ventilation, cooling, and control and monitoring systems. The role also includes troubleshooting and addressing technical problems in facility installations and monitoring operation alarms and deviations to ensure stable and efficient operation. Other parts of the work include: Coordinating with contractors for service, maintenance, and technical work. Energy monitoring is an important part of the work where energy data for electricity, heating, and water are analyzed to identify deviations and optimize operations. Documentation is prepared for energy efficiency measures and contributes to energy reports and statistics. Work in superior control and monitoring systems (SCADA/BMS), where operating strategies, schedules, and set points are adjusted to optimize the function of the installations. Monitoring heating systems, ventilation systems, and heat pumps, as well as participation in commissioning and optimization of technical systems. Contributing to identifying energy-saving opportunities, optimizing operating hours and temperatures, and participating in projects related to energy efficiency and sustainable facilities management. Together with the facilities manager, you are also responsible for developing and updating maintenance plans for the facilities under your responsibility. You conduct regular inspections of your facilities to ensure that buildings, installations, and technical systems maintain a good standard and to identify needs for preventive and planned maintenance measures. We are looking for you who have: Education as an operations/facilities technician Experience with facilities technical systems (heating, ventilation, cooling) Experience with control and regulation systems Understanding of energy and energy use Experience/knowledge of refrigeration technology Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written Driver's license at least category B Good computer skills It is advantageous if you have: Experience with energy monitoring systems (for example Vitec) Experience with superior control systems Experience with energy efficiency Bath water technology As a person, you are structured and collaboration-oriented.
