At the Infrastructure and Environment Department, more than 180 employees work with infrastructure and environmental protection in our municipality. We are responsible for planning and operating construction projects, road networks, parking areas, public spaces, parks, waste management, as well as water and treatment plants. Our area of responsibility also includes traffic safety, accessibility, safety, and a good environment for residents, as well as regulatory authority under the Environmental Code and food legislation where supervision and prevention work are in focus.
We are now seeking an Operations Technician for the Water and Treatment Plant Unit in the Water and Sanitation Department. The Water and Sanitation Department is responsible for the municipal water and wastewater supply and consists of three units. The Water and Treatment Plant Unit, where this position is located, is responsible for the operation, development, and optimization of processes at our water and treatment plants. This position is based at the wastewater treatment plants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an operations technician, you will be part of the unit that works with the operation and maintenance of the municipality's wastewater treatment facilities. The employees of the unit are stationed at Nolhaga Treatment Plant, but work takes place at all treatment plants and pump stations throughout the municipality.
Wastewater treatment occurs in automated processes that are controlled and monitored via operational data systems. Good computer skills are therefore a prerequisite for being able to handle the automation systems used in the operation. An important part of the work is to continuously analyze and optimize the process to ensure wastewater treatment. Additionally, instrument handling is an important task for the position.
There is a great variety of work tasks such as conducting inspections of the facilities, working with preventive maintenance, performing repairs, conducting troubleshooting for problems, and resolving operational disruptions.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
• has good technical understanding
• has good computer skills
• holds a B driver's license
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Meritorious:
• previous experience with operation and maintenance work in process operations
• education in water and sanitation engineering
• knowledge of mechatronics, electrical instrumentation, and/or control systems.
As a person, you are positive, cooperative, flexible, and responsible. You are service-oriented and communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written. You are curious and committed to contributing to the development of the operation and can work independently as well as in a team. You have a solution-oriented work approach and can independently make well-founded decisions when the situation requires it.

Since on-call duty is part of the position and the response time to alarms is a maximum of 60 minutes, it is required that you live in a location where the response time can be maintained.
