Description We are now expanding our facilities organization and are therefore seeking a Facilities Technician for Bjurholm Municipality. This is to meet the need as we expand with new technically complex properties. You will be offered varied and challenging work that covers several parts of the municipality's important technical systems and equipment. The work involves many contact points with both residents, businesses, and internal employees. As a Facilities Technician, you report directly to the facilities manager within the facilities department. Job Responsibilities In your role as Facilities Technician, you are responsible for the technical operation of our systems and are driving the development of the municipality's technical equipment. Varied and challenging work that covers several parts of the municipality's important technical systems. You have a leading and coordinating role throughout, from startup to completion in the technical operation of our systems and further through monitoring, evaluation, and process development. Qualifications We are looking for someone with education and/or experience in building technical installations. To work independently, a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required. As a person, you are confident, relationship-building, and have good communication skills in both meetings with others and in writing. Your work style is structured and independent, and you have an analytical ability where you see both details and the whole picture. You appreciate dynamics in work and the opportunity for many contact points at different levels. You stay updated on changes within your field of operations and want to develop processes with the support of digitalization. Furthermore, you have the ability to be objective and rational and can accept criticism. Experience of a politically governed organization and knowledge of municipal operations' regulatory system, authority exercise, organizational structure, and conditions are meriting but not a requirement. We are looking for someone who has: Education and good knowledge in plumbing, ventilation. Electrical knowledge and possible electrical certifications are meriting. Knowledge and understanding of computers and programs as well as principles of data security in order to solve problems within building technical systems such as IT communication, interfaces, and integration. This includes the ability to interpret and use technical descriptions and manuals relevant to the professional role, in both Swedish and English. Knowledge of electrical system structure, hydraulic flows, pressure, water/air flows, and understanding of the relationships and connections between these. In-depth knowledge of technical systems in buildings for troubleshooting and repair of technical systems. Good knowledge of buildings' internal and external structures, materials used, and understanding of buildings' exposure to moisture and moisture-related problems. Knowledge of how to perform service and repair work in different types of buildings and systems in a correct and safe manner. Knowledge of maintenance routines, rules, regulations, and inspection plans for building technical equipment. Knowledge to be able to interpret and use drawings, diagrams, instructions, standards, and regulations, system functions, technical concepts, designations, symbols, and units within the fields of heating, ventilation, and electrical work.
