The Operations Unit is responsible for the operation and maintenance of municipal roads, public spaces, parks, natural areas, and playgrounds. We are now looking for an Operations Manager to join our team! Job Responsibilities As an Operations Manager with us, you will—based on annual planning—plan and allocate daily activities, primarily within parks, natural areas, urban-adjacent forests, and playgrounds. You will plan and prepare work tasks in consultation with supervisors, other operations managers, and other departmental resources. Collaboration with municipal companies and other municipal activities is an important part of the work to achieve good citizen benefit. A significant portion of the role involves inventorying, preparing, and creating good conditions for internal and external grounds personnel to carry out assigned tasks efficiently in a safe work environment. Some on-call duty may be included in the position. Qualifications The Operations Manager has a planning and preparatory role. We place great emphasis on commitment, being a good role model, being clear, service-oriented, and responsive to the organization's needs. You have previous experience leading and allocating work tasks within parks and nature. Personal suitability is given great weight in recruitment. Education or equivalent experience within parks and landscaping. Education or experience in management positions and roles. Experience in planning and project management.
