Company Description VB Energy Group is an environmentally and occupationally certified energy company headquartered in Ludvika. The operation with approximately 85 employees encompasses district heating, electricity distribution, and operation of hydroelectric power stations. The company is owned by Ludvika Municipality and Fagersta Municipality. About the Role Do you want to work as an Operations Engineer at VB Elnät and contribute to a sustainable future society? Investing, expanding, and maintaining the electricity grid is part of our daily work. The grid is monitored 24/7 through our operations center in Ludvika. We are also responsible for measuring how much electricity our customers use. Within Västerbergslagens Elnät, we currently have 32 employees who together are accelerating our digital transformation, testing, and implementing new technology that contributes to increased delivery reliability and service quality for our customers. We are in a growth phase with major investment plans, and to meet our customers' needs and contribute to the energy transition, we are now seeking an Operations Engineer. Do you want to be part of our journey? Your Responsibilities As an operations engineer, you will play a central role in keeping the electricity grid safe, stable, and accessible for our customers. You are the hub that coordinates customers, contractors, other grid operators, and internal stakeholders to find efficient solutions for both planned work and acute operational disruptions. With a focus on electrical safety and delivery reliability, you ensure that work is carried out safely and with minimal impact on our customers. The role also involves working with operational orders and other important operational instructions, performing grid-related calculations, and contributing your expertise in project meetings related to investments and maintenance of the regional grid. For the right person, there is also an opportunity to assume the role of switchboard operator at the operations center and thus play an even more important role in the daily operation of the electricity grid.
