Key Facts Location: Vy's service office at Polhemsplatsen in Gothenburg Scope: Full-time Business Area: Procured Traffic (member of management team) Reports to: COO for Procured Traffic Application Deadline: August 15, 2026 About the Position As Operations Manager Traffic & Development, you are responsible for large parts of Vy's traffic management and workforce planning, as well as all of Vy's traffic development within procured traffic. You are part of the business area's management team and contribute to both strategic decisions and the overall development of operations. The assignment spans from daily operations to long-term development of traffic agreements, working methods, and operations. You lead experienced specialists and team leaders and create a common direction for the functions. To be able to support and challenge the organization, you need solid experience in the field and be able to serve as a qualified sounding board on matters concerning traffic planning, traffic development, workforce planning, and traffic management. Your Areas of Responsibility You will, among other things: Lead and develop traffic management, workforce planning, and traffic development Have responsibility for personnel, work environment, budget, results, and operations Develop and follow up traffic agreements, key metrics, and business objectives Translate strategic decisions and business objectives into operational activities Develop working methods, systems, and collaboration between functions Ensure that operations comply with agreements, laws, and regulations You collaborate closely with depots, business managers, clients, union representatives, and other parts of Vy. The role includes both long-term development and situations that require quick decisions, clear priorities, and stable leadership. About You You are a confident, clear, and present leader who creates engagement, direction, and results. You thrive in close proximity to operations, but at the same time have a strategic perspective and the ability to lead experienced specialists and other managers. We see that you have: A university degree or equivalent experience deemed equivalent Several years of experience leading specialists, managers, or larger operations in development Documented experience in traffic planning, traffic development, workforce planning, or traffic management in a complex operation Experience with budget, results, and operational responsibility Experience in strategic development and translating business objectives into operational activities Good understanding of agreements, labor law, collective agreements, and cooperation with union representatives Very good communication skills in Swedish and English Experience from a leading role in public transport or other complex and labor-intensive operations is a merit. The same applies to knowledge of driving and rest time regulations and HASTUS.
