Join us and drive change for future generations. We are now seeking an Operations Manager – Mining Technology for the Preparation Department at Aitik. Are you the one we're looking for? Your Role As Operations Manager for Mining Technology, you will be responsible for a broad range of tasks including coordination and management of rock mechanics processes, blasting execution and development, mining infrastructure projects, slope and dam management. The role also includes operating, developing, and ensuring quality of system-technical areas such as drilling, loading, machine data, and analytics. You will lead and coordinate the team's work to create conditions for safe, efficient, and future-oriented production. You work proactively and ensure quality in deliveries, production systems, and technical solutions. Together with the team, you will identify improvement areas and drive development initiatives through cross-functional collaboration. This includes working on technical system and data development, providing technical support to the operations organization, and collaborating with the maintenance organization to ensure good availability and production safety. The role requires broad collaboration, both internally with the operations organization and externally with system suppliers and technology partners. The position includes personnel and budget responsibility. Your Responsibilities Lead and coordinate operations of mine-adjacent infrastructure projects Lead and coordinate slope and dam management Lead and coordinate system development in the department's equipment fleet Lead and coordinate rock mechanics processes Lead and coordinate blasting development work together with mine planning Ensure the team's deliveries, resource allocation, and results Foster a culture of collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement Ensure and lead development and implementation of technical solutions Optimize production flows in collaboration with the operations organization Identify potential in technology and work methods for increased productivity Ensure production data analysis is conducted to support decision-making Communicate trends, deviations, and improvement potential Monitor KPIs and take action on deviations Lead and participate in improvement initiatives and change management Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholder groups The position is a permanent full-time employment based in Aitik. Start date by agreement. A six-month probationary period applies. Your Contribution We are looking for you with relevant higher education or university degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience. You have several years of experience in leadership and driving improvement work within production technical matters in mine operations. You are a natural leader who engages those around you and has the ability to move a group forward through a coaching and development-oriented leadership style. You work in a structured manner, are goal-focused, and lead both operations and employees toward established objectives. You are open, communicative, and unpretentious with excellent collaboration skills. You are self-driven and initiative-taking and take responsibility for change work, identifying development opportunities and implementing them in practice together with others. You enjoy taking on new challenges and are driven to improve work methods and production. Personal qualities are highly valued. You have good knowledge of Swedish (or willingness to learn) and English, both spoken and written. A valid driver's license, minimum Class B (manual transmission), is required. Why Work with Us?
