The GataPark Operations Department manages and maintains the municipality's road network, public spaces, parks, municipal forest management, work machinery and vehicles, workshop, investment projects, and the municipality's overall vehicle operations.
The operations department currently consists of approximately 30 people divided between a unit and operations support. The department also plays an important role in civil emergency preparedness with personnel on standby all days of the week, 24 hours a day.
Responsibilities
As an operations worker with a focus on machine operation at GataPark, you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's streets, parks, and public environments. The work is varied and performed both independently and together with colleagues within the unit.
In this role, you will, among other things:
- Operate and handle various types of contractor machinery and vehicles
- Perform operation and maintenance work on streets, roads, parks, and green spaces
- Participate in construction and repair work in the municipality's public environments
- Perform groundwork, excavation, loading, and transport
- Be responsible for daily supervision and routine maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Assist with snow removal, de-icing, and other seasonal tasks
Standby duty is part of this position. Work outside regular working hours may occur during, for example, snow removal, de-icing, acute operational disruptions, or other events requiring quick response.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- High school education or other education that the employer considers equivalent
- Experience in the field, for example road maintenance
- Operator's license for wheel loader and excavator
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written
- B driver's license
It is meritorious if you have:
- YKB (occupational competence certificate)
- C driver's license
- CE driver's license
- Training/certification Work on Road (APV)
- Operator's license for other contractor machinery
