Café Paus operates two popular breakfast and lunch restaurants in Gothenburg – one on Sörredsvägen in Torslanda and one on Backa Strandgata in Backa. Our business is built on high quality, personal service, and satisfied guests. The focus is on an appreciated salad buffet, daily hot dishes, and during summer season a popular grilled buffet prepared fresh daily. We are now looking for an Operations Manager / Restaurant Manager who wants to become a key person in the company and work side by side with our CEO and owner. About the Role This is a broad and varied position where you become the CEO's right hand. You will work together and alternate shifts to ensure present leadership at both restaurants. You are responsible for daily work management while driving the development of the business. Since we are a smaller company with short decision-making processes, you are also a natural part of daily operations. You lead by being present, supporting the team, and helping out where needed. Your Responsibilities Lead and coach our employees in daily work. Plan and optimize schedules and staffing. Ensure that routines are followed and continuously improved. Handle daily purchasing and actively work with cost control. Drive continuous improvements for increased quality, efficiency, and profitability. Participate in developing the restaurants' concepts, methods, and guest experience. Take part in daily operations when the business requires it. Together with the CEO, develop the business and create the best possible results. We are Looking for You You have previous experience in a leadership role within the restaurant, café, or service industry and have demonstrated that you can develop both people and businesses. You are a person who: Is a confident and inspiring leader. Has good organizational abilities and enjoys structure. Has experience with scheduling, staffing planning, and work management. Understands the importance of cost control and smart purchasing. Sees opportunities for improvement and takes initiative. Is unpretentious and feels equally comfortable working in operations as with administrative tasks. Speaks and writes Swedish fluently. Has your own car since you need to be able to move easily between the restaurants. Has a strong commitment to service and quality.
