Åre Travel is seeking an Operations Manager for a temporary position covering our regular Operations Manager's parental leave. ABOUT ÅRE TRAVEL Åre Travel has welcomed satisfied guests since 2014 and provides apartments, villas, and cottages in attractive locations in and around the village of Åre. We also offer property services for homeowners, including cottage maintenance, property management, snow removal, grounds maintenance, and window cleaning. ABOUT THE POSITION The role is broad and varied, encompassing operations, cleaning services, administration, and staff management, as well as some booking responsibilities. You will be the Managing Director's right hand in the organization and will be responsible for ensuring that operations run efficiently and maintain the high quality that our guests and property owners expect. You report directly to the Managing Director. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, staff, and train employees in cleaning and operations. Ensure high quality, efficiency, and excellent service. Coordinate operations, cleaning, and booking based on business needs. Handle purchasing, invoicing, and budget monitoring. Develop and streamline routines and processes. Conduct workplace meetings and employee reviews. Maintain contact with key customers and contribute to sales of our services. Work operationally during low season or as needed, including cleaning work, to balance workload. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO Is a confident and clear leader. Is organized and skilled at planning, prioritizing, and following up. Takes initiative, makes decisions, and sees what needs to be done. Has a natural sense of service, quality, and hospitality. Enjoys both administrative and operational tasks. Is flexible and stays calm when circumstances change rapidly. Has good computer skills. Has strong Swedish and/or English skills, both spoken and written. Has upper secondary education and a valid driver's license. Experience from hotels, housekeeping, property services, booking, or similar operations is a merit. We place great emphasis on personality, leadership, and the ability to create structure, engagement, and work enthusiasm. We welcome applications from both Swedish- and English-speaking candidates. SCOPE AND TERMS The position is a temporary role covering parental leave. The current employment level is 75 percent during low season and 100 percent during high season, but the scope is negotiable. Work is flexible and hours are scheduled based on business needs. Weekend work and varying hours occur. You will have access to a computer and a company car.
