Operations Manager for Food Truck and Catering – Competitive Salary

Lulus Streetfood We're not just looking for someone to help out during a shift. We're looking for a confident, self-directed person who can take responsibility for the entire operations of our food truck when the owner is not on-site. You'll become a key person in the business and lead operations at festivals, corporate events, catering assignments, markets, and private functions throughout Western Sweden. About the Role As operations manager, you're responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly from preparation to wrap-up. You'll work hands-on with the team, but you're also expected to make decisions, delegate tasks, and solve problems as they arise. You'll receive thorough training in our routines, menu, and equipment. After that, you should be able to run booked assignments independently. Responsibilities Plan and prepare for events and catering assignments Check inventory, equipment, packing, and loading Start up and shut down the food truck Prepare, cook, and serve food at high speed Lead and delegate work to other staff members Ensure quality, correct portion sizes, and minimize waste Handle cash, sales, and end-of-day reconciliation Maintain hygiene, cleaning, and organization Solve practical problems during ongoing assignments Ensure everything is packed, checked, and restored after the event We're Looking for Someone Who Has at least two years of relevant experience from restaurants, fast food, catering, food trucks, or similar operations Is comfortable working independently during busy service periods Has experience with shift management, supervisory responsibility, or equivalent Is reliable, handles stress well, and arrives on time Sees what needs to be done without being told Can make sound decisions even when the pace is hectic Understands that quality, service, portion control, and profitability go hand in hand Can work evenings, weekends, and sometimes in other locations Speaks Swedish Holds a B driver's license B96 or BE driver's licenses are highly desirable. This is not a role for someone looking for their first restaurant job. We're looking for someone who already knows the basics and is ready to take on greater responsibility. Most assignments are in the local area, however. Scope and Hours Hourly wage Approximately 15 hours per week or more over time Some weeks may include 30+ hours, while others are quieter. Work takes place mainly during evenings, weekends, and event days. Often long days.
