The Administrative Court of Gothenburg is one of Sweden's largest courts with approximately 280 employees. Our primary task is to resolve disputes between individuals and government agencies. The Administrative Court is also one of the country's four migration courts. The court currently has six judicial divisions, each with a primary focus on one of the major legal areas: tax law or social insurance law. In addition, all judicial divisions handle migration cases. The administrative division houses the court's case management units, the Registry and Archives Unit, the Administrative Office Unit, and the IT, Security and Service Unit. Hundreds of cases and matters are decided daily in courts throughout Sweden. As a court administrator with us, you work to ensure that the administration of the court's cases and matters functions efficiently and with legal security. You are an important part of the case management process and contribute to enabling the court to fulfill its mission of deciding cases and providing good service to citizens. Duties As a court administrator, you can work at the court's case management office, registry, or archives. The tasks are varied and independent and you perform them under your own responsibility together with your colleagues. All functions also involve extensive contact with the public and parties as well as internal collaboration with various departments of the court. Below are examples of tasks within the different functions: Case Management Office At the case management office, you work with mail and e-mail handling, correspondence in cases. You summon parties to hearings and dispatch judgments and decisions. Registry At the registry, you work with mail and e-mail handling. You review incoming documents, register new cases and perform initial checks. Archives In the archives, you handle files in concluded cases, such as monitoring and registration of service, appeals and legal force. The work also includes sorting, archiving and destruction of documents as well as orders for public records. You will be placed at one of these units upon employment. This could be work where you have had extensive telephone contact and/or work that required flexibility, for example call center, hotel or restaurant. It is also meritorious if you have experience of working administratively at a court, preferably an administrative court. Personal Qualities For us, it is very important that you enjoy administration and service and that you are interested in learning about the court's operations. The work is varied and requires you to be able to work independently under your own responsibility while collaborating closely with your colleagues. You handle large amounts of information daily, often in parallel across multiple cases and matters. This means you need to be able to prioritize, quickly switch between different tasks and at the same time maintain accuracy, structure, quality and legal security in every step. You possess a high sense of service and are concerned that the handling of our cases is carried out correctly. To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness and suitability. This means that you stand up for democratic values and the state values that guide Sweden's Courts' operations. We require that you comply with applicable laws. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. Other Information The employment is a permanent position which may be preceded by a six-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement.
