District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture. Welcome to Southern Dalarna! District Veterinarians Southern Dalarna has its clinic in Hedemora. We are seven veterinarians and one animal care attendant and one veterinary nurse working in the district. A large part of our operations consists of field visits to farm animals and horses. The clinic has a small animal facility with three examination rooms, an operating room, a sterile area, dental care services, and infectious disease and blood labs. We are now seeking an animal care attendant with an eye for structure and service. You are equally comfortable providing care for animals as you are maintaining order behind the scenes. In this role, you combine practical work with animals with administrative tasks such as invoice handling, scheduling, and customer contact. You are an important link in our team – both in interactions with animal owners and in keeping our operations running smoothly. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES Your work will largely consist of cleaning, washing, dishwashing, and various ordering tasks. Answering customer calls is an important part of the job. You should be able to provide advice, make an initial assessment, schedule appointments, and in emergency cases coordinate transportation to the nearest veterinarian. You will need to assist at both the small animal clinic, the lab, and sometimes in the field. The work also includes some administration, such as recording invoices, scheduling, and certain documentation. It is therefore an advantage if you have previously worked with administration. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking you as an Animal Care Attendant Level 2. Previous experience working in veterinary care is a requirement. To thrive with us, you need to enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills. You must be comfortable working at a fast pace, have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and be able to work independently. You will be answering phones and therefore need to have good communication skills and a sense of customer service. A driver's license (Category B) is required.
