About the Position We are looking for someone with a passionate interest in animals in our terrestrial environments. You are thorough and can juggle many tasks at once. You have the ability to participate in and inspire a team. You are flexible and quickly find solutions in unexpected situations. You have a positive view of people and have retained a childlike sense of wonder. You want to work in a cheerful group with excellent collaboration and plenty of drive. Of course, you also want to help create conditions for all our guests to have a fantastic experience. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You will be part of the Living Learning Environments department, which consists of gardeners, animal caretakers, zoologists, veterinary nurses, marine biologists and divers. The position will collaborate with the entire department, but most closely with people in the animal team, who work with the terrestrial animals. Your main responsibilities: Daily routines in animal care, such as food preparation, feeding and care of animals. Enrichment of the animals' environment and activation of the animals. Recording and documentation, among other things. Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following education and experience: High school education or equivalent education as an animal caretaker. It is advantageous if you have previous experience of working in zoo operations, preferably with the type of animals that Universeum has in the company's species plan. We appreciate if you have special interest and experience working with birds. Advantages with experience working with venomous snakes. Driver's license category B.
