Technology doesn't create change on its own. People do when they use it the right way. Now we're building Sweden's new Digitalisation Agency and we're looking for you to lead the digital development from the start. We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you'll ensure it works now and in the future. For everyone. About the role As a division chief, you'll be part of the leadership team of the new Digitalisation Agency and have the opportunity to shape both the agency, its culture, and work methods from the beginning. The Digitalisation Agency is being formed by merging the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) and the Agency for Digital Government (Digg) into one unified organization. The aim is to strengthen Sweden's capabilities in digitalization, digital infrastructure, security, and preparedness. As division chief for services and digital infrastructure, you're responsible for the agency's work with national digital infrastructures and services. You'll have a central role in developing, managing, and coordinating solutions that create the conditions for an efficient, secure, and cohesive public administration. The division's mission spans the entire chain from needs analysis and requirement specification to development, procurement, management, support, and increased adoption. This means you need to establish long-term direction while simultaneously ensuring stable development and delivery capacity for services and infrastructures that function over time and meet evolving needs. Collaboration is a central part of the mission. The work happens together with government agencies, municipalities, regions, and other stakeholders, and you need to be able to translate different needs and perspectives into shared priorities and solutions that create concrete value. The division's mission thus combines strategic development with implementation, management, and practical use. You'll lead an operation with many dependencies, stakeholders, and perspectives and need to be able to set direction and make decisions even when conditions are complex or changing. In the new agency, you'll also have an important role in developing operations and creating long-term conditions for Sweden's shared digital infrastructure. You lead through other managers and are responsible for operations, budget, work environment, and results within the division. As a member of the agency's leadership team, you're also responsible for the agency as a whole and work together with the director general and other division chiefs to establish shared direction, priorities, and the agency's long-term development. This role suits you if you're motivated by combining strategic leadership with development and delivery and want to translate complex needs and broad collaboration into digital solutions that are used and create value in practice. About you To succeed in this role, you build trust through dialogue and collaboration and work unpretentiously across organizational boundaries. You actively contribute to the agency's overall goals and shared objectives and create good conditions for collaboration, both within the agency and with external stakeholders. You have a strategic perspective and the ability to see the big picture, long-term consequences, and connections. You translate political direction, the agency's goals, and strategic priorities into clear direction, priorities, and decisions within your area of responsibility. As a leader, you're confident and stable and exercise good judgment even when conditions are complex, changing, or pressured. You create clarity, direction, and calm during change. At the same time, you're action-oriented and take responsibility for driving work forward. You translate decisions and strategies into action and create results and sustainable development through others. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your leadership. We're looking for someone who has: A university degree relevant to the assignment or other experience that the employer considers equivalent. Several years of experience with strategic management in larger and complex operations. Experience leading and achieving results through other managers. Experience with personnel responsibility, budget work, and operational planning. Experience from operations responsible for developing and managing national digital services, digital infrastructure, or other societally critical digital solutions. Strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It's a merit if you have: Experience from state operations or other politically governed organization. Experience working in agency management or other strategic leadership position. Experience leading major transformation or development projects. Experience with external collaboration and representing the operation at strategic level. Experience with needs analysis and development in collaboration with municipalities, regions, or other public actors. Experience working with data sharing, interoperability, or other shared administrative infrastructures. Our offer We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life both at and outside of work.
