We wish to strengthen our team and are therefore seeking a district doctor for Primary Care West and our health center in Vindeln. Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers work closely together within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional transport enable commuting to, from, and between our facilities. Vindeln Health Center is located approximately 60 kilometers from Umeå and is responsible for health and medical care within Vindeln Municipality with its approximately 5,000 residents. The health center has around 30 employees. The operations conducted are comprehensive and complete from a primary care perspective. Vindeln Health Center is a small and family-like unit with short decision-making paths and great opportunity to influence your own work situation. The role of district doctor at Vindeln Health Center offers an exciting and varied assignment for you as a specialist in general medicine. JOB DUTIES As a specialist doctor in general medicine, also serving as a district doctor, at Vindeln Health Center, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You play a key role in offering security and high-quality care throughout the patient's life. This means caring for and treating a broad spectrum of health problems, including those not caused by a definable disease. The job duties range from child health care (BVC) to elderly care (residential care and home healthcare), and you will be an important part of our medical team, where collegial collaboration and participation in development work are encouraged. You are active in the base unit's physician group and collaborate with other professions. The role also includes supervision of students, ST doctors, and AT doctors. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking you as a licensed specialist doctor in general medicine, with experience of, or interest in, working in a varied and stimulating environment. A genuine interest in mentoring students and training doctors is also important. If you have completed research education and are active in clinical research, this is particularly meritorious. You are a present and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic perspective that makes the care process better and safer.
