Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both city and countryside, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers work closely together within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional traffic enable commuting to, from, and between our units. Vännäs Health Center is beautifully situated on the banks of the Ume River and is a brand new, modern facility located about 30 kilometers from Umeå city. The health center employs approximately forty staff members. In Vännäs, we work in different teams, conduct active workplace environment efforts, and have good cooperation with the municipality's various care operations. Our guiding principles are: Pleasant, clear, consistent. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a specialist physician with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. General medicine is characterized by meeting the patient throughout their life. The specialty involves meeting people of all ages with all types of health-related problems and independently assessing and treating them. This also includes experiences and complaints that are not caused by a definable disease. In specialist general medicine work, you follow an individual's various health problems over time, and when assessing health problems, you often need to consider the person's entire life situation. As a specialist physician with us, a flexible approach and the ability to handle varying workload are required. Additionally, you must be engaged and take responsibility for your work. You are active in the base unit's physician group and collaborate with other professional groups. The role also includes supervising students, ST physicians, and AT physicians. The position is a permanent full-time employment with Region Västerbotten, with placement at least 75% at Vännäs Health Center. For the remaining time, work may occur at other health centers in Umeå and surrounding municipalities—initially at Bjurholm Health Center. Part-time employment is available. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a licensed specialist physician in general medicine with experience and/or interest in primary care. Interest in supervising students and trainee physicians is also important. You are an attentive and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic perspective that makes the care process better and safer.
