Gimo Health Center with Branch Offices Our 1,800 employees work with primary health care and wellness in Uppsala County. We offer a broad range of services within primary care. Our patients visit us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or at our rehabilitation facilities, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our services based on the needs of our residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services. Gimo Health Center and Österbybruk Branch are looking for a District Physician! We have operations in Gimo, Österbybruk, and soon a newly built health center in Alunda that is expected to be completed in 2026/27. There are many areas to specialize in with us. We are a cheerful team looking for general practitioners for the Österbybruk branch. We offer you a flexible work arrangement. The scope and employment level of the position can be discussed according to your preferences. Your Assignment With us, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health center. Your work tasks include clinic work with acute and planned visits, child health services, rounds with our skilled Diabetes/Heart Failure and Asthma/COPD nurses, and rounds at nursing homes (SÄBO) may occur. It also includes supervision of medical students and AT/ST/BT physicians, as well as some on-call and standby duty. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in general medicine with Swedish medical license. You have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, meaning Swedish language skills equivalent to level C1. You enjoy working in a team with other professions close to patients and would like to contribute to the development of the operation. You are driven and interested in supervision, teaching, and teamwork. You are willing to try new technology and new work methods to best meet our patients' needs and, together with the team, create an even better work environment. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Our Operations Gimo Health Center with branches in Alunda and Österbybruk has approximately 11,000 registered patients and approximately 60 employees. We have a strong interest in education and research, especially for our own staff, which is highly appreciated by both nursing and medical students, AT, ST, and BT physicians. With us, flexibility, interest in development, and providing residents with good service are highly valued. All professional areas within the health center's mission are represented, and we also have a youth clinic. For you, there are great opportunities to shape the operation and take responsibility for certain tasks or operational areas. Gimo Health Center is centrally located in Gimo, 50 km northeast of Uppsala. Alunda DSK clinic is temporary, and a new health center in Alunda will be ready for move-in in 2027. Österbybruk Health Center is a small, family-oriented health center located 50 km northeast of Uppsala. There are good commuting options by bus and car to our health centers. Want to Know More?
