District Doctor with Opportunity for Medical Leadership Role, Handen Health Center

We are now seeking an engaged colleague for Handen Health Center with the opportunity to become our medical director physician. Handen Health Center is located adjacent to Haninge centrum, with restaurants, grocery stores, and good public transportation. We also have rehabilitation and child health services that are part of the unit. On Dalarö in the beautiful archipelago environment, we have a small satellite clinic that serves the population living there. Handen Health Center is growing and currently has approximately 21,200 registered patients and is expanding rapidly. We have integrated home care with approximately 200 enrolled patients with a dedicated home care physician. We have a psychosocial team with a psychologist, psychotherapist, social workers, and rehabilitation coordinator. Two foot care nurses. Nurse-led clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, hypertension, osteoporosis, and elderly care. We have a minor orthopedic clinic in a team with a physiotherapist and a minor emergency clinic with close collaboration with the nearby emergency clinic. We operate an SMO clinic (coordinated medical care for people with disabilities). We are one of four clinics in Stockholm. We have a team of district doctors, senior physicians, resident physicians, and junior physicians who work with the same patient list to increase continuity in patient care. About the position: As a district doctor/medical director, we offer you varied and stimulating work in close collaboration with different professional categories. We work in a well-functioning team with doctors, rehabilitation coordinator, district nurses, clinic nurses, social workers, nurse assistants, foot care nurses, and medical secretaries to create good continuity for our patients. You will work on ongoing patient safety efforts by handling deviations and investigating adverse events, as well as conducting regular medical record reviews. You will be part of our management group where we make various decisions, discuss different ideas and thoughts, etc. In our work, we use TeleQ, chat, and video visits, and we use Take Care as our medical record system. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Qualifications: Licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Meritorious: Previous experience working in primary care and as a medical director. Type of employment: Permanent employment; probation may be applied. The position will be filled provided that it does not need to be used for internal reallocation, according to applicable regulations. For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area: - Background checks will be conducted before an employment decision in accordance with SLSO's guidelines for background checks at hiring. - Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, in accordance with applicable directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment. - In addition to Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required, corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
