In the Skellefteå Local Health Care Area, we include the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, Center for Surgical Activities, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work to provide good and accessible care. Primary Care South Skellefteå consists of the health centers of Anderstorp, Bureå, Burträsk, and Lövånger. Here we work together to develop primary care. Lövånger Health Center, with approximately 2,500 registered patients, is the small health center in the middle of Västerbotten's coastal region. Between the cities of Skellefteå and Umeå, with vibrant countryside as a backdrop, lies the community of Lövånger and surrounding villages. Here we practice something as paradoxical as urban-adjacent rural medicine. At the same time as we have Umeå University Hospital just over an hour away, we also have a clear rural character in our care matters. In Lövånger, we really know our patients and they know us. Staff turnover is very low and both staffing levels and competence levels are high. Lövånger Health Center consistently ranks at the top of the National Patient Survey in Västerbotten, which we are proud of. Our patients trust us—they come to the health center and largely expect care at the health center, rather than referrals to one of the hospitals. The health center has a very good atmosphere; we help each other and find creative solutions for the patient's benefit and to support one another. We continuously work on both work environment and well-being, as well as on operational development. We are now seeking a district doctor to be a colleague to our newly appointed district doctor and our trainee doctor, both with long-term ambitions for Lövånger Health Center. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a district doctor with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. The specialty of general medicine is characterized by meeting the patient throughout their life. The competence includes meeting people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems and independently assessing and treating these. In specialist general medicine work, you should also follow an individual's various health problems over time and in assessing health problems, consider the person's entire life situation. You work to a high degree independently, but teamwork with other professions occurs. With us, you have the opportunity to mentor AT/BT/ST-doctors and students to become future colleagues. On-call duty in primary care is included in the position. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine. You are thorough, take great responsibility for your work and your workplace, and are confident in your profession. You can work both independently and in a team and have good social skills. You are a present and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer.
