PRIMARY CARE CENTER AVESTAHÄLSAN Primary Care Center Avestahälsan has been operating since 2012 and currently has nearly 8,000 registered patients. We have approximately 35 employees working as district physicians, resident physicians (ST), assistant physicians (AT), trainee physicians (BT), physiotherapists, occupational therapist, midwives, child health nurses, district nurses, nurses with various specializations, counseling nurses, medical secretaries, psychotherapists, nursing assistants, and facility managers. Avestahälsan Primary Care Center operates only in Avesta but serves many registered patients from surrounding municipalities in southern Dalarna and northern Värmland. We share the property with Avestahälsan Occupational Health. Our core values are: Competence – Care – Service – Accessibility SPECIALIST PHYSICIAN IN GENERAL MEDICINE At Avestahälsan Primary Care Center, we have an excellent team of physicians! Five specialist physicians in general medicine (one currently on parental leave) with varying employment levels, 4 resident physicians (ST), 2-3 assistant physicians (AT), and 0-1 trainee physicians (BT). Together we care for nearly 8,000 registered patients, approximately 800 of whom are from other regions. Specialist physicians and resident physicians have their own patient lists but all also contribute to acute and subacute appointments for all registered patients. Assistant and trainee physicians do not have their own patient lists. We have a maximum patient cap of 1,600 per full-time position, but currently specialist physicians have approximately 1,400-1,500 registered patients per full-time position, which has gradually decreased over time. We are actively working to enable the healthcare choice model in the region to reach as low as 1,100 registered patients per full-time position. At Avestahälsan Primary Care Center, we continuously work to improve and develop our operations. We work in teams and prioritize high continuity of care. Professional development is planned based on your needs and those of the organization. We have allocated time and a professional development policy for specialist physicians as well. There is good opportunity to have your own area of responsibility based on organizational needs and your specific experience and expertise. We wish to expand our physician team with an additional specialist physician at 75-100% to better prepare us for the present and future.
