About Us
At the Department of Health Sciences (HV), education is offered at undergraduate and advanced levels in the nursing programme and six specialist nursing programmes. Research in nursing science is conducted with focuses on people's health and learning in various research groups with emphasis on patients of all ages and their families, professional development, and method and theory development. We are seeking a PhD-level university lecturer who is a licensed nurse with expertise in oncology nursing. This position is part of a long-term initiative to build our academic capacity in teaching and research to meet future needs.
In autumn 2025, implementation of a new nursing programme began at Örebro University. The new programme features increased focus on clinical and academic competence and closer collaboration with regional and municipal healthcare providers.

Job Responsibilities
As a university lecturer, you will primarily engage in teaching at the undergraduate level, and associated collaboration. A university lecturer should also contribute to the university's development.
The responsibilities of a PhD-level university lecturer primarily include teaching in the nursing programme, though teaching at advanced level in the specialist nursing programmes may occur. Work tasks related to teaching may include course responsibility, examination, planning, assessments, supervision, evaluation, and administration. You are also expected to conduct research and development work, participate in competence development, and follow knowledge development within your field of study.
