Job Description We are seeking a Head of PMO (Project Management Office) for AFRY Industry Sverige – a strategic leadership role responsible for leading and developing our PMO function with approximately 50 employees. The role empowers you to strengthen AFRY's combined ability to win, plan, manage, and deliver large industrial investment projects with high technical, commercial, and organizational complexity. The PMO function brings together expertise in project management, engineering management and leadership, construction engineering, and project support. As Head of PMO, you hold broad operational responsibility, driving common working methods, project models, governance principles, and competence development – while also strengthening business acumen, sponsorship, and conditions for successful project delivery. The role is part of the management team for AFRY Industry Sverige / Project & Engineering Sweden and works closely with key customers in Sweden and international project organizations. Your mission is to contribute to increased delivery capability, stronger project management, and long-term business value in large EPC, EPCM, and industrial engineering projects – from business and customer dialogue to execution, follow-up, and learning. In the role, you will also: Develop project models, governance principles, and working methods for large EPC, EPCM, and industrial engineering projects with a focus on business, management, and delivery. Act as sponsor, advisor, and/or steering committee resource on major key projects. Strengthen project culture, project competence, and commercially sound project execution throughout the PMO organization. Strengthen collaboration between segments, divisions, and international project environments. Actively contribute to the strategic development of AFRY Industry Sverige through management team work. Qualifications We are looking for a confident, strategic, and business-oriented leader with the ability to create direction, trust, and results in complex environments. You build strong collaboration between people, functions, and countries, and lead through professionalism, clarity, and accountability. With a business-minded and pragmatic approach, you drive development forward while creating favorable conditions for operations, customers, and employees to succeed. You move naturally between customer dialogue, steering committees, business, organization, and leadership. We believe you have the following experience and competencies: Solid experience from major project operations in industry, for example from consulting firms, EPC/EPCM companies, or industrial client organizations. Experience with large EPC, EPCM, and/or industrial engineering projects with technical, commercial, and organizational complexity. Strong understanding of project management, project controls, risk management, cost management, scheduling, and governance. Experience leading and developing PMO, Project Delivery, Project Services, Project Controls, or Business Excellence functions, for example as Head of PMO, Director of Project Delivery, Director of Business Excellence, Head of Project Services, or equivalent role. Experience leading managers, senior specialists, or cross-functional project organizations. Experience working closely with customers, business, steering committees, and senior leadership forums in Swedish and international project environments. Academic education in engineering, industry, project management, or equivalent experience, as well as very good knowledge of Swedish and English. Additional Information The position is a permanent full-time employment. The work location is flexible within Sweden and will be determined by agreement at one of AFRY's offices in Sweden.
