Swedish Agency for Digital Government, Division Chief for Digitalization of Society
Technology doesn't create change on its own. People do, when they use it the right way. Now we're building Sweden's new Digital Government Agency and we're looking for you to lead the digital development from the start. We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you'll ensure it works now and in the future. For everyone. About the role As Division Chief, you'll be part of the management group of the new Digital Government Agency and have the opportunity to help shape the agency, its culture and ways of working from day one. The Digital Government Agency is formed by merging the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) and the Swedish Agency for Digital Government (Digg) into a single organization. The aim is to strengthen Sweden's capacity in digitalization, digital infrastructure, security and preparedness. As Division Chief for Digitalization of Society, you're responsible for strategic development, analysis, coordination and long-term capability building in digitalization. You'll have a central role in translating the government's direction and the agency's goals into strategic choices and prioritization of development initiatives. The division drives and coordinates issues that are central to society's continued digitalization. The mission includes, among other things, digitalization of public administration, AI, data sharing and interoperability. The role therefore requires you to combine long-term strategic direction with action-oriented leadership and the ability to establish and develop operations in a changing environment. You lead through other managers and are responsible for operations, budget, work environment and results within the division. As a member of the agency's management group, you're also responsible for the agency as a whole and contribute, together with the Director General and other Division Chiefs, to common direction, priorities and the agency's long-term development. This role suits you if you're motivated by working at the intersection of societal development, digitalization and public administration, and want to translate strategic choices into concrete development and societal benefit. About you To succeed in this role, you build trust through dialogue and cooperation and work without ego across organizational boundaries. You actively contribute to the agency's overall goals and create good conditions for collaboration, both within and outside your own division. You have a strategic perspective and the ability to see the bigger picture, long-term consequences and connections. You translate political direction, the agency's goals and strategic priorities into clear direction, priorities and decisions within your area of responsibility. As a leader, you're confident and stable and act with good judgment even when conditions are complex, changing or pressured. You create clarity, direction and calm during change. At the same time, you're action-oriented and take responsibility for driving work forward. You translate decisions and strategies into action and create results and sustainable development through others. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and leadership. We're looking for you who have: An academic degree relevant to the assignment or other experience that the employer considers equivalent. Several years of experience in strategic leadership in large and complex operations. Experience leading and delivering results through other managers. Experience with personnel responsibility, budget work and operational planning. Experience working with societal development issues through digitalization and AI.
