We are now seeking a digitalization leader – a key role for someone who wants to drive and coordinate the municipality's digital development and contribute to future municipal services. About the Role This is a newly created position within the Municipal Administration. Here you will work closely with the municipality's operations and leadership on development issues spanning the entire organization. As a digitalization leader, you will work at the intersection of operations, management, and IT. You report to the municipality's development director and will hold a central role in creating structure and momentum for the municipality's digital development. You do not drive digitalization for technology's sake – you drive operational development where digitalization is a tool. Job Responsibilities You lead and coordinate the municipality's digitalization efforts and translate the operations' needs and the municipality's goals into concrete development initiatives. Together with the operations, you analyze processes, identify improvement areas, and create conditions for new and more efficient ways of working. An important part of your assignment is to serve as the bridge between operations and IT. You translate operational needs into clear requirements, contribute to prioritizing development efforts, and ensure that digital solutions are user-friendly, sustainable, and create real operational benefits. You initiate and lead digitalization projects, coordinate cross-functional working groups, and support operations in change management and implementation of new ways of working. You follow up on goals, effects, and benefit realization, and contribute to ensuring the municipality's resources are used where they create the greatest value. In this role, you actively monitor developments in digitalization, AI, and automation, and identify opportunities for increased quality and efficiency. Together with the development director, you contribute to structure, prioritization, and long-term governance of the municipality's digital development. Qualifications Academic education in a relevant field or experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in operational development and change management. Experience leading and driving digital transformation, operational development, or transformation in a larger or complex organization. Experience in project management. Good understanding of the interaction between operations and IT. Very strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Meritorious Experience from the public sector, preferably municipal services. Experience with AI and automation. Experience in information security and data protection. You are well-organized and have the ability to translate needs and ideas into concrete initiatives and results. You thrive working both strategically and operationally and have the ability to create momentum even when many different perspectives and operations are involved. You create understanding and trust with both operations, IT, and management, and have the ability to lead and create engagement without formal personnel responsibility. You are motivated by developing people, working methods, and operations, and want to contribute to digitalization and AI being used where it creates real societal value. About the Position This is a permanent full-time position with start date by agreement. The position is located in Salem Municipal House within the Municipal Administration.
