The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Division operates a broad pediatric service with strong expertise in many subspecialty areas. The division has regional responsibility for inpatient care for children and adolescents and provides highly specialized care within neonatology. Inpatient care is provided on a neonatal ward for newborns and a pediatric ward (0-18 years). We have childcare for children as well as a mobile pediatric team. Outpatient services are provided at a subspecialist clinic at USÖ and at three general pediatric clinics (Örebro, Karlskoga, and Lindesberg). The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Division has a paramedical unit to which the dietitians belong, along with social workers, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, teachers, and play therapists. Duties Working as a dietitian with us involves broad and interesting work with assignments in both the ward and clinic. You will be part of a group of dietitians who together work with children and adolescents with various medical conditions, for example diabetes, food allergies, oncology, obesity, and growth problems. Area responsibilities are distributed among the dietitians but we collaborate and cover for each other as needed. You will be responsible for nutritional treatment of children and meet families individually and in groups and also participate in education of care staff. Qualifications Licensed dietitian. We would like you to have experience working with children and adolescents.
