Borås Primary Care Center is seeking a licensed nurse with advanced training in diabetes care. The position is flexible, ranging from one day per week to full-time. If you prefer to work part-time, you can focus on the diabetes clinic. If you prefer to work more hours, the diabetes assignment can be combined with regular nursing work at the primary care center. Work is scheduled during daytime, Monday–Friday. No on-call, evening, or weekend shifts are included. About Borås Primary Care Center Borås Primary Care Center is a private primary care facility within VGR Vårdval with approximately 4,000 registered patients. We are located at Herrljungagatan 1 in Knalleland in Borås. Our team includes physicians, nurses, a psychologist, and administrative staff. We are a smaller organization with close collaboration between professions and short lines of communication between nurses and physicians when a patient requires joint assessment or treatment changes. We are now seeking a diabetes nurse who wants to lead clinic operations and, together with the rest of the team, continue to develop diabetes care at the primary care center. Your Assignment As a diabetes nurse, you will work independently with your own clinic, primarily serving patients with type 2 diabetes. Your work includes scheduled diabetes visits and annual check-ups, counseling, treatment and follow-up, patient education and support for self-care and lifestyle changes, monitoring of medication treatment and dose adjustments according to prescription, treatment plans, and facility procedures, registration and quality monitoring in the National Diabetes Registry (NDR), and collaboration with physicians and other professionals regarding patient treatment. You will also coordinate with specialized care when the patient's diabetes treatment requires it. You work independently in your clinic but have access to physicians at the primary care center for medical assessment and joint handling when needed. Work is conducted according to current national and regional knowledge support and the requirements applicable to primary care centers within VGR Vårdval. If You Want to Work More If you want to work more than the time needed for the diabetes clinic, the position can be combined with other nursing work at the primary care center. This may include telephone counseling and triage, your own nursing clinic, medical assessments, specimen collection and follow-up, vaccinations, wound dressing changes, and handling of patient matters via 1177. The arrangement will be planned together with you based on your competence, desired work hours, and the facility's needs. We Are Looking for You You are a licensed nurse with advanced training in diabetes care comprising at least 15 higher education credits. You have good knowledge of Swedish in spoken and written form and are comfortable with independent clinic work while collaborating well with other professionals. Experience with a diabetes clinic in primary care is a plus. It is also an asset if you are a district nurse and have experience with Asynja Visph, 1177, and telephone counseling. Employment and Terms Permanent employment from one day per week up to full-time. Work is scheduled during daytime, Monday–Friday, with no evening, weekend, or on-call shifts.
