The dementia nurses are part of Ronneby's rehabilitation unit. The unit employs approximately 10 occupational therapists, 9 physiotherapists, 2 rehabilitation assistants, 2 dementia nurses and 3 Silvia nurses. The unit works as a team. The dementia nurses and Silvia nurses have additional collaboration as a dementia team, whose activities we are developing. The dementia team also has close cooperation with the municipality's assistance coordinators and the team for safe discharge home. We develop our activities with digital tools and working methods with the aim of being an attractive and modern employer and care provider. We care about staff health and offer fitness allowances or fitness hours.

WORK TASKS
There is currently 1 dementia nurse per 15,000 citizens, which in Ronneby means 2 dementia nurses. We work across regional/municipal boundaries and in a consultative capacity. We work according to regional guidelines for dementia as well as locally developed procedures.
As a nurse specializing in dementia care, you work person-centered in ordinary housing but can also have assignments in the municipality's care and service facilities.

As a nurse with dementia specialization, you work independently but are also an important part of the team around the patient. The transition to Close Care means that more patients are cared for to a greater extent in their own homes with a salutogenic perspective where we strive to maintain the individual's health. Close Care means a patient-centered approach with the individual at the center.
As a dementia nurse, you participate in the assessment of cognitive difficulties. You participate in various collaboration groups. Testing and prescribing of certain specific aids. Advisory and educational role to other staff.
The work includes family support through family groups, family education, phone calls and individual conversations. In your daily work, you collaborate with other actors, such as: Assistance coordinators, unit managers, nurses in home care, health centers and cognitive clinics.
Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying are a licensed nurse and preferably with specialist education in dementia care, district nursing, psychiatry or elderly care. We would like to see that you have experience as a nurse and that you are confident in your professional role and work with a preventive approach with the individual's needs at the center. As a person, you are structured, flexible, have high collaboration skills and are solution-focused. For us, it is important that you are empathetic and attentive in your work when meeting people. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
In your role as a nurse, you document and communicate daily and therefore need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish. We also want you to have good IT skills, be familiar with handling medical record systems and interested in developing welfare technology further.
Since the municipality has operations throughout Ronneby Municipality, it is a requirement that you have a category B driving license, and it is meritorious to have category B with manual transmission.
In order to be employed within the care and service department in Ronneby Municipality, an extract from the police criminal record register must be presented. The form to be used is called "Work in the home with elderly and people with disabilities". Normal processing time is approximately two weeks. Remember to order the extract in good time.
