Demand Planner for Leading Manufacturing Company – Temporary Position
What you will be working with Are you the person who loves transforming data into accurate forecasts that lead to smarter business decisions? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your analytical work has a direct impact on delivery capability, inventory optimization, and customer satisfaction? If so, this could be your next career step. We at Inpeople are now seeking a Demand Planner for a well-established and expanding manufacturing company with international operations. Here you will take on a key role in an organization where planning, analysis, and collaboration are at the center. About the role As a Demand Planner, you will become a central part of the company's Supply Chain organization. Your mission is to ensure that products are available in the right quantities, at the right time, and in the right place – while keeping inventory levels as efficient as possible. You will work closely with colleagues in sales, product management, production, procurement, and supply planning to create a balance between demand and supply. Through forecasts, inventory optimization, and data-driven analysis, you contribute to better decisions and increased efficiency throughout the value chain. In this role, you are responsible for creating and maintaining statistically based demand forecasts, monitoring inventory levels, and initiating actions for overstocking or understocking situations. You will work with safety stock, review sales plans with special focus on new products and campaigns, and coordinate the introduction and phase-out of articles from a supply chain perspective. An important part of the work is also ensuring correct data in the company's ERP system and inventory optimization tools, developing inventory forecasts, KPIs and analyses, and contributing to budget work, sales and margin analyses, and ongoing reporting. You will also participate in improvement projects aimed at developing planning processes, increasing forecast quality, and streamlining working methods within supply chain. Your profile We are looking for someone with an analytical and structured mindset who thrives in a role where collaboration, problem-solving, and business understanding are a natural part of your daily work. You have post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, logistics, economics, engineering, or equivalent professional experience, and you preferably have experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain, or production and logistics planning. You are comfortable working in Excel and ERP systems and have the ability to analyze large datasets and translate them into clear insights and concrete actions. If you also have experience in improvement work or cross-functional projects, that is a merit. For this position, fluent English is required, both spoken and written. As a person, you are communicative, relationship-building, and solution-oriented. You work in a structured manner, have high attention to detail, and enjoy collaborating across multiple functions. You are motivated by improving processes and contributing to the company's continued development, and you are the person who makes sure things get done – even when you don't have all the information from the start. What we offer This is an opportunity to take on a key role in a stable and growing company with a strong market position and international presence. You will become part of an engaged team where your analyses and decisions have real impact on the company's results and development. The place of work can be tailored based on where you live, with placement in Hillerstorp or Malmö. There is an opportunity for remote work a couple of days per week. This is a temporary consulting assignment intended to start relatively immediately and last 2–4 months on a full-time basis.
