About the Position
The Data Protection Officer has an independent advisory and supervisory role and is responsible for guiding the organization, management and employees about their obligations under data protection legislation.
The Data Protection Officer is also the contact person for the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) and the individuals whose data Svenska kraftnät processes.
As a Data Protection Officer, your work tasks include:
Responsibility for governing documents, processes and frameworks as well as structures and procedures within the data protection area.
Responsibility for and work with, records of personal data processing activities.
Investigation and assessment of suspected incidents as well as handling, reporting, notification and follow-up of identified incidents.
Support in managing the exercise of rights and contact person in relation to data subjects.
Provision of training.
Advice regarding the establishment of impact assessments and monitoring of their implementation.
Contact person for IMY and contact person for employees and data subjects.
Position-taking on strategic data protection issues.
Ensuring compliance with the agency's obligations in the data protection area.
Reporting of data protection work to the Director-General and Board.
As a lawyer and Data Protection Officer at Svenska kraftnät, you will have the opportunity to develop your ability to work with different professional categories, find solutions to the organization's legal issues and explain the legal frameworks.
By developing good cooperation between different competencies and different parts of the organization, you contribute to legally secure and consistent application of law within Sweden and within the complex organization that Svenska kraftnät is.
The Data Protection Officer is organizationally placed in the Legal Department, directly under the department head and reports data protection work to the Director-General and Board. You also work closely with the data protection lawyer who is placed in the Operations Law unit.

Education:
You must have a Swedish law degree or legal master's degree (jur.kand.).
You also have:
At least four years of current experience in independent legal work as a Data Protection Officer or data protection lawyer or within IT law at a large government agency.
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Meritorious
Qualified education in data protection.
Experience in interpreting, implementing and applying EU legislation.
Documented experience of applying the Freedom of Information Act (OSL) in digital environments.
Documented experience in training.
Documented experience of working with AI.
Documented experience of project management.
Good to Know
The position is located in Sundbyberg.
Travel may occur to a limited extent.
Possibility for remote work up to 50%, when work permits.
