About the Role As a Data Protection Lawyer, you help our clients implement the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in practice and ensure a structured and sustainable approach to compliance. You work on reviewing, developing, and integrating data protection into operations and follow up and support compliance efforts. The role also includes handling personal data incidents, conducting data protection impact assessments, and training organizations – from small teams to large entities. You work closely with multiple clients in parallel, primarily in the public sector such as municipalities and government agencies, but also in the private sector. Assignments can be both strategic and operational in nature. You become part of our Data Protection & Information Security team – an engaged and knowledge-driven group where we collaborate broadly and enjoy sharing experience. You have the freedom to shape your day while contributing to societal benefit in some of Sweden's most important operations. Qualifications University or college degree in law At least 3 years of practical experience working with data protection matters, such as Data Protection Officer or similar role Experience from the public sector (the entire 3-year period does not need to be in the public sector) Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new organizations and build trust Experience with independent work such as developing action plans and conducting annual reviews Fluent spoken and written Swedish Meritorious: Experience in related areas, such as information security Previous experience as a consultant Project management experience and experience leading assignments Personal Qualities You are analytical, solution-oriented, and have a flexible approach to new challenges. You drive your work forward with a focus on results and take responsibility for achieving goals. At the same time, you thrive in collaboration with others and have a communicative and coaching approach. You have a genuine interest in data protection and information security and want to continue developing in this field.
