We are now seeking a Data Coordinator on loan who wants to contribute to Tillväxtverket's work developing PIPOS (Pinpoint Sweden) – a platform used throughout Sweden for geographic accessibility analysis, planning, and decision support. We develop map services to help authorities, municipalities, and regions monitor societal development and make well-informed decisions. The position is located in the PIPOS and RAPS group within the Analysis and Statistics unit. The Analysis and Statistics unit is responsible for conducting analyses, surveys, and producing statistics to develop knowledge and increase learning within Tillväxtverket's main operational areas. About the position The role involves overall responsibility for external geodata supply to the platform, from procuring new data deliveries to uploading and managing them in databases. The assignment also includes updating and quality-assuring Pipos' own geodata sets regarding public and commercial services to ensure the information is current and reliable. Furthermore, the role is responsible for managing and developing relationships with external suppliers, collaborating authorities, and users regarding geodata matters. The work also includes managing the platform's confidentiality issues and sharing of geodata, both internally and externally. Part of the assignment is also to continuously review and work on improvements to our databases. Your place of employment is: Stockholm or Östersund We are looking for someone who has: Education from university or college equivalent to at least 3 years within social sciences (e.g., cultural geography, economics, statistics, or another field that Tillväxtverket deems relevant for the position) Knowledge of GIS and/or practical experience with databases and data models Very good knowledge of and experience working with data processing of large datasets and programming in statistical software such as SAS, R, Python, or similar Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. The following are merits: Previous experience managing PostgreSQL databases and PostGIS QGIS Programming in a modern high-level language, preferably C# or Python Work in public administration with matters related to data sharing and information security Experience with procurement As a person, we are looking for someone who is thorough, structured, and practically minded with an eye for quality and analytically inclined.
