JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a database administrator, you will become an important part of the team responsible for the region's IT platforms. You will work alongside experienced colleagues in the operation, management, and development of database environments in a large and mission-critical IT environment.
We work primarily with Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server, and currently manage approximately 300 database server environments. You will collaborate closely with our database architect and help ensure stable, secure, and efficient database services.
The role offers great variation between operational work and long-term development.
In your role as database administrator, you will
• be responsible for operation, administration, and further development of database environments with a focus on stability, security, and performance
• install, configure, and upgrade database server environments and work with monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• participate in implementations of new systems and services together with operations, system administrators, and vendors
• be involved in developing and managing the region's shared SQL platform
• handle incidents, performance issues, and ensure high availability in critical systems
• develop and further improve routines, processes, and technical documentation
• manage and further develop our CMDB database
• participate in projects and development initiatives where databases are a central part.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have good analytical skills, work in a structured manner, and are driven by the desire to improve technical solutions.
For the role of database administrator, we see that you
• have higher education/university education in data/computer science or equivalent work experience that the employer considers equivalent
• have interest in and knowledge of databases and IT operations
• have a good understanding of IT environments
• have basic knowledge of databases (such as SQL)
• communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
• can understand technical documentation in English.
It is advantageous for the position if you have experience with Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell, SSRS (Reporting Services), Service Manager, and Microsoft development tools as well as .NET.
The position is classified and requires Swedish citizenship. Security clearance and background checks will be conducted before employment.
