The Swedish Chemicals Agency is a government authority tasked with reducing the risks of chemicals harming people and the environment. The unit is responsible for the registry and all its work processes. You will participate in many parts of the data process, from data collection to data processing, quality assurance, providing data in the form of reports and data interpretation. An important part of the work is developing methods and data in the registry. You will collaborate with the entire unit, where we collectively take responsibility for our registry and its quality. You will have another data analyst with chemical knowledge as a colleague. We are in a phase where the focus is on establishing order and quality in data, and here you have the opportunity to participate in shaping and developing the operation together with your colleagues. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS You will be working with: • designing, providing, and developing registries within the field of chemicals • collaborating with operations, administrative managers, unit managers to identify improvement opportunities, propose changes, and develop quality, content, and work methods • systematic quality assurance work • programming languages, primarily SQL • making data accessible for operational needs, e.g., ensuring data access for official statistics, key metrics, and various knowledge bases • creating appropriate documentation that enables stakeholders to understand the steps in the data analysis process and to replicate or reproduce the analysis when needed • requirements specification and testing within the administrative system • following developments in the field and contributing with environmental monitoring • when needed, assisting with other tasks in the unit Depending on current assignments and your background, the tasks may include investigation assignments, handling and analysis of incoming data and statistics on chemical use, compilations, data visualization, and context/trends. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you if you have: • an academic degree in computer science, systems science, statistics, or equivalent as the employer deems relevant • several years of relevant current work experience, such as data handling, databases, data analysis, administration of large data volumes • several years of current experience with data processing using SQL • strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English It is meritorious if you have: • Experience with maintenance and development of registries • Experience with administration of database systems and analysis from other statistical producing organizations • Experience in producing statistical reports, generating reports, investigation/project work, or data visualization • Experience with Business Intelligence work • Subject knowledge within chemistry or environmental fields Employment Type: Permanent employment.
