The IT-Information, Data and AI (ITI) business unit is primarily responsible for coordinated, quality-assured, and efficient management of information, data, and AI within Försäkringskassan, including the responsibility to actively contribute in these areas to the public sector at large and to build, manage, collaborate, and develop products and services within information, data, and AI – as an enabler for a data-driven organization. Data Engineer, Data Governance, Transformation and Development We are looking for someone with a technical foundation and practical experience who enjoys solving problems, building things from the ground up, and sees the value in working closely with both business and technology. You will be part of the newly established Data Governance unit within the Information, Data and AI business area at Försäkringskassan's IT department. Here you work in an agile team with the mission to create unified data management, with a focus on creating possibilities and capabilities through platform thinking, semantic data, and open source. As a Data Engineer, you build the technical foundation that makes data a strategic asset. You develop and maintain data platforms, pipelines, and data flows that enable the organization to use reliable and up-to-date data. Your work creates the conditions for analytics, AI, decision support, and future data-driven services. We are looking for someone who has a university degree in, for example, computer science, systems science, informatics, or equivalent competence acquired through other education or relevant work experience has experience working as a Data Engineer, Systems Developer with a focus on data, BI Developer, or similar has very good knowledge of programming in Java, Python, or similar has experience automating data flows and working with version control has very good knowledge of data collection and storage has very good knowledge of data modeling can take initiative independently and take responsibility for achieving good results collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals has a structured and meticulous working approach has the ability to translate complex business needs into sustainable technical solutions has good communication skills, both verbal and written has good knowledge of Swedish, both verbal and written. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of object storage and graph databases experience setting up and managing the lifecycle of services on Kubernetes clusters an active interest in and follow up on new tools and trends within data engineering been an active part of a larger transformation to become data-driven interest and understanding of data governance interest and understanding of knowledge graphs or semantic data have developed data solutions using modern approaches such as GitOps, DevOps, DataOps, or CI/CD.
