We want to expand our capabilities in data ingestion and data analysis, and you will play an important role in this. As a data engineer, you will contribute both operationally and tactically to our digital transformation within data warehousing, data management, and data analytics, as well as associated integration architecture. You will work practically to analyze needs, design solutions, and translate them into implementable structures within data warehousing and integration. You combine business understanding and technical breadth by identifying needs, analyzing conditions, and developing sustainable solution proposals and structures adapted to different contexts. You will also be involved in designing the solutions that Skolverket offers the education system, with a focus on developing data management solutions with direct business value. You will actively contribute to Skolverket's digital development work. Together with colleagues in the data function, you will ensure quality, consistency, and integrity in the agency's central data objects. You will work in a cross-functional team that includes other data engineers, information and data architects. You will also collaborate closely with colleagues within your unit, department, and other parts of Skolverket, as well as external contacts. Our IT Department has over 100 employees working to ensure a functioning and secure IT environment and to support the business through development and management of IT support, infrastructure, and approaches for digital development. You will work at our modern and spacious office in Solna Business Park. You will also have the opportunity to work up to 50% remotely. Learn more at www.skolverket.se/jobb For this Role, You Should Have - Post-secondary education in IT or other education combined with relevant experience as assessed by Skolverket, - Very strong knowledge of data modeling with a focus on both data warehousing and general systems design, - Knowledge of various relevant technologies and understanding of their advantages and disadvantages, - At least five years of current experience working with systems development in Python, - Experience developing and orchestrating data pipelines in Python, - At least five years of experience building and maintaining stable data pipelines in various environments, - Practical experience analyzing business data needs for developing reporting solutions, - Relevant experience working with data structures, algorithms, and software development principles, - Strong experience with SQL and working with complex data sets, - Strong experience with data ingestion patterns (data loading architecture), - Very strong knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English. It is beneficial if you have experience with container-based solutions, such as Docker or Kubernetes, experience setting up target audience-adapted visualizations in Power BI or equivalent tools, and experience working in the public sector or with large, complex information environments.
