The Nature Conservation Agency announces a competition for Horticulture Specialist position at the National Botanical Garden Administration, Plant Germplasm Collections and Exhibitions Division, Dendroflora, Rare and Economically Useful Plants Sector (1 position) for an indefinite period (full-time). Requirements for applicants: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Agriculture, or Forestry; knowledge and experience in plant care, propagation, and selection; familiarity with plant protection and fertilizer products; good skills in working with MS Office software; ability to work in a team; high sense of responsibility and accuracy; desirable knowledge of English for use of scientific literature. Main job duties: creation, scientific and technical maintenance of fruit tree/berry collections and exhibitions; implementation of measures to preserve Latvia's cultivated plant germplasm; development of collection and exhibition development concepts and planting plans. professional development and growth opportunities; health insurance (after probation period ends); additional leave and other motivation elements established in the institution in accordance with achieved work results; comfortable and convenient work environment, as well as responsive colleagues; opportunity to gain unique experience in the leading nature conservation agency in the country; Monthly salary: 960 EUR (gross).
