Your main duties will be: to implement, maintain and improve the ministry's processes, procedures, quality management system and risk management, as well as strengthen the ministry's core activities, including the effectiveness of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the European Regional Development Fund, the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, and the internal control system; to implement corruption and conflict of interest prevention and anti-fraud measures; to ensure risk and quality management processes and organize external evaluations. Requirements for candidates: compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; higher education; at least three years of work experience in internal control, quality and risk management in the public, municipal or private sector within the last 10 years; at least three years of work experience in the administration, management and control of European Union funded programs; work experience in state administration; knowledge and understanding of internal control and risk analysis; knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles of the legal acts existing in the European Union, the management and control systems of European Union funded programs; command of Latvian business correspondence and written culture; English language knowledge in writing and orally (correspondence and communication with EU institutions); good communication skills; ability to work with computer programs MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office Outlook, MS PowerPoint and web browsers. To perform the duties of the position, a civil servant must use an independently issued national electronic identification solution, i.e., eParaksts mobile, eParaksts eID.
