Dance Instructor for Children Wanted

We are seeking a course instructor for our dance activities with young children at the organization Aktiv Ungdom Malmö for the fall term 2026. We are primarily looking for an instructor for our family dance class with the youngest children, ages approximately 2 to 8 years old, and their parents, with dance training for both children and adults together. The position involves teaching approximately 2-3 hours/week on Saturdays or Sundays. This is hourly employment for work on Saturdays during a 10-12 week period with a break for fall vacation. The assignment is for fall 2026, August/September through December. The position is in Malmö. We are looking for you if you: are passionate about dance and love to dance and enjoy spreading the joy of dance in a group. know the basics of dance well and want to teach and share your dance knowledge with others. are a social person who can create community and a sense of security for all children and young people, as well as for their parents/adults. love development, both in yourself and in your students. are self-reliant, as you will be solely responsible during your dance class, which includes everything from opening/locking/alarming the facility to taking attendance, etc. It is a merit if you have worked with children in different age groups and some form of dance education is desirable but not required. You will work together with an assistant instructor or another instructor. The organization Aktiv Ungdom in Malmö is a children's and youth organization that, among other things, operates a community-run Cultural School for children and young people, ages 2-approximately 19 years, on weekday evenings and weekends in the areas of dance, theater, musical, and art school. We have several different activity facilities in Malmö, including in Kirseberg, Limhamn, Malmö city, and other locations. Our ideology and working method is methodical work with age-based grouping, with a strong focus on the social aspect of the group. We naturally also see the importance of developing both the group and the development of each student, but completely without an elite mentality.
