The Culture and Education Administration's operations include upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, youth centers, music school, cultural centers, libraries, museums, art halls, tourism, event activities, facilities, Nolhaga Ice Hall, Nolhaga Farm, Nolhaga Park Bath, and association support. Approximately 420 employees work throughout the administration.

Alströmer High School in Alingsås Municipality is one of Western Sweden's largest upper secondary schools with approximately 1,450 students distributed across 11 national programs, adapted upper secondary school, and introductory programs. Educational operations are divided into seven sectors, each with a principal as head, and together we are just over 220 employees.

WORK TASKS
The position as a dance teacher at 25% involves specialization in Streetdance, primarily focused on house and hiphop. This means you teach courses within the aesthetic program at upper secondary level, such as dance technique 1-3 and choreography, as well as individual electives for other students in the school. Teaching is planned to be held two days a week, and this academic year on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The position includes collaborating with colleagues in your work team and other staff. You will work independently and contribute to planning and implementing various projects and performances that are a major part of the aesthetic program's activities. It is important that you are comfortable taking your own initiative to contribute to the achievement of operational goals and to give students the opportunity to develop as far as possible according to the objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
• is a certified dance teacher with the qualification to teach dance technique and choreography courses within the aesthetic program at upper secondary level
• has documented expertise in Streetdance with focus on house and hiphop
• has good digital competence and is comfortable participating actively in the school's forward development with digital tools and learning platforms
We see that you take responsibility for planning, implementing, and developing your instruction in an independent and structured manner. You have a good understanding of students' different circumstances and adapt instruction and communication to give each student the best possible opportunity to develop. The role also requires good collaboration skills, where you work with colleagues to contribute to planning, projects, and performances as well as to the continued development of the aesthetic program.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Until further notice, start date: In August or by agreement.
