Dalasinfoniettan Seeks Assistant Principal Flute with Piccolo Responsibility

Dalasinfoniettan is seeking an Assistant Principal Flute player, with responsibility for piccolo. This is a permanent full-time position (100%) starting in the 2027-2028 season with a probationary period. (Start date by agreement.) About Dalasinfoniettan Dalasinfoniettan is a chamber orchestra in the heart of Dalarna, where nature is as rich as culture. The orchestra consists of 28 full-time musicians. Dalasinfoniettan has performed with international soloists including Janine Jansen, Evelyn Glennie, Martin Fröst, and Víkingur Ólafsson. The orchestra frequently collaborates with, among others, Roberto González-Monjas, Malin Broman, Tobias Ringborg, Chloé van Soeterstède, and Ariel Zuckermann. Music Director from 2024 is French conductor Claire Levacher, and Principal Guest Conductor is Simon Crawford-Phillips (from 2027). Dalasinfoniettan is a versatile orchestra performing folk music, jazz, and popular music alongside the classical repertoire. All orchestra musicians are active as chamber musicians in smaller ensembles and school concerts in addition to their orchestral work. Dalasinfoniettan reaches a broad audience throughout Dalarna. In spring 2027, we will move into a new concert hall in the heart of Falun. Auditions will take place in Falun on October 26-27, 2026.
