Do you want to help shape a sustainable future society? The GataPark Sector within Östersunds Municipality's technical administration is now seeking a stormwater coordinator for the Land & Facilities unit. You will take on a central role in developing and coordinating stormwater management - from master planning and detailed plans to implementation of individual projects. Here you can combine engineering, environmental considerations, and urban planning in an assignment that makes a real difference for a growing and climate-smart municipality. What does the role involve? As a stormwater coordinator, you will be a key person in developing and ensuring quality in the sector's stormwater management at all stages. You represent the property manager for public spaces and street and park operations, and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure sustainable, efficient, and aesthetically thoughtful solutions. Your responsibilities include: Participate in and drive investigations, strategies, and projects related to sustainable stormwater management. Review and follow up on stormwater solutions at different stages - from early planning to completed installation. Collaborate with other sectors and units within the municipality, such as Waste/Water Services, Planning & Building, and external consultants. Serve as an expert in planning and construction processes regarding stormwater issues. Contribute to sharing knowledge and developing the municipality's internal processes within the stormwater field. You will become part of a cohesive team with high expertise and a supportive culture, where we collaborate closely and support each other in our various assignments. Together we work to create a sustainable and pleasant environment for today's and tomorrow's residents. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone with a combination of technical understanding, analytical ability, and genuine interest in sustainable community development. You thrive working both independently and with others, and you find it easy to see the bigger picture in complex processes. We would like you to have: Relevant higher education, for example in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water/wastewater engineering, or similar. Several years of experience from a relevant industry, preferably with a focus on stormwater, water/wastewater, planning, or design. Ability to work in a structured, solution-oriented manner with good collaboration skills. Interest in strategic issues and a desire to contribute to the municipality's climate adaptation and sustainable urban development. It is a plus if you also have: Experience from municipal activities or another public organization. Experience with blue-green systems and sustainable stormwater solutions. Knowledge of current legislation and regulations related to stormwater, planning, and construction processes.
