Every day. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like to be part of developing Växjö Municipality's work with stormwater, cloudbursts, and climate adaptation? We are now looking for a stormwater and cloudburst coordinator who wants to translate strategies into concrete measures and contribute to a robust and sustainable society. Växjö Municipality has long been developing and expanding its stormwater system to reduce flood risks and improve water quality in our lakes and waterways. We were early in creating multifunctional, open solutions that contribute to a more attractive urban environment. Now we are at an exciting stage where we are developing work on cloudburst planning and climate adaptation, with a clear connection to green infrastructure and nature-based solutions. As a stormwater and cloudburst coordinator, you will have a key role in the municipality's climate adaptation work. You will be an important driving force in making strategies a reality. You will be part of the strategy unit within the urban development administration. The unit currently consists of eight strategists with specialist expertise in areas such as cultural heritage, water and sewerage, architecture, green infrastructure, ecology, and sustainable transport. Together we create the conditions for a future sustainable city and countryside. Your main responsibilities are: · Coordinate and strengthen stormwater and cloudburst work within public land between the municipality's operations (streets/parks, planning, development, property, environment, and preparedness). · Initiate and coordinate investigations and action plans. · Participate in and drive stormwater and cloudburst issues in implementation projects to ensure that measures work in practice. · Collaborate with responsible operations regarding operation and management of the municipality's stormwater solutions. · Contribute to working groups on stormwater, cloudbursts, and climate adaptation. · Develop dialogue and collaboration with external actors, such as property owners and operators. · Participate in the development of working methods, guidelines, and strategies for stormwater and cloudbursts. · Contribute knowledge in different phases of the planning process. · Monitor the external environment within the stormwater and cloudburst field, participate in and drive development projects, and contribute new knowledge to the operation. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has · Relevant academic degree in, for example, urban development, civil and water engineering, environmental engineering, or another field that the employer considers equivalent. · Good technical understanding of stormwater and cloudburst management. · Several years of experience with similar work within municipal operations, consulting, or other relevant organization. · Experience participating in or driving implementation and development projects. · Ability to drive issues forward, coordinate efforts, and create results in collaboration with others. · Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and understandable manner and very good communicative skills in speech and writing in Swedish and English. · Driver's license category B. It is advantageous if you have: · Experience from multiple areas of operation, such as streets/parks, water and sewerage, development, property, or physical planning. · Experience from strategic work within stormwater, cloudburst, or climate adaptation. To succeed in the role, you are proactive, driven, and engaged. You enjoy coordinating issues that span multiple areas of operation and developing processes and working methods from a holistic perspective. You have a talent for building networks and creating collaboration between different interests and levels, both within and outside the organization.
