Controller for Public Sector Organization

We are currently seeking an experienced Controller at Jurek for a consulting assignment with a public sector organization in the Stockholm area. This is a full-time position providing operational financial support to elderly care services during a recruitment period. About the Role and Examples of Responsibilities We are now seeking a consultant who can provide qualified financial support to an elderly care organization during a recruitment period. In this role, you will work closely with the organization's managers and be responsible for budget and follow-up work, as well as contribute financial analyses and decision-making materials. You will be an important support function in the organization's financial management and participate in development and efficiency improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing monthly forecasts and financial reports together with the organization's managers Budget work for the 2026 fiscal year Participation in efficiency and development projects within elderly care Performing accounting-related tasks Preparing statistics, analyses, and decision-making materials Providing ongoing financial support to the organization Handover and introduction of new staff member at the end of the assignment Work is conducted primarily in the systems Hypergene, Agresso, and Excel. Your Background, Experience, and Competence We are looking for someone with: An academic degree in economics At least four (4) years of current experience as a controller Very strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing Meritorious if you also have: • An academic degree in financial management • Experience with similar work in the municipal sector • Experience with similar work in Stockholm City Personal Qualities: We are looking for someone who is professional, self-directed, and proactive. You have good collaboration skills and a pedagogical approach. To succeed in this role, you have good judgment, the ability to take a holistic perspective, and strong numerical and analytical abilities. Good to Know You will be employed as a consultant at Jurek and work on assignment for our client in the Stockholm area. The position is full-time and runs from late August to mid-December. The role offers the possibility of remote work up to 50% if the work allows it.
